Michael Kuptz, CEO
Michael joined DDNi as CEO in September 2008 and he is chartered with developing and growing the DDNi portfolio and leading the organization to achieve its annual goals and objectives. He is responsible for leading the DDNi team and executing the company's strategy to provide a ubiquitous software platform to improve consumers' PC and device user experience.
Mike's industry background includes more than 20 years at IBM and Lenovo. Before joining DDNi, Mike held several executive roles with Lenovo Group Limited, including Vice President and General Manager of the Americas Consumer Business Group and as the Vice President and General Manager of the U.S. Channel, Mid-Market and Transactional Business at Lenovo. At IBM he held executive and management positions throughout IBM's portfolio of global offerings across hardware and software businesses.
Mike holds degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also attended San Diego State University and was a guest lecturer and teacher at Fresno State University.
Mike is active in youth sports as an official, coach and program director. He is a Foundation Board Member and past Board Member of ISME, and CCWE.
René North, CFO/Founder
René provides financial and operational leadership for DDNi and spearheads the financial and resource management systems for the company.
René has more than 20 years of experience in finance and operations with large technology companies including Lotus Development, Seagate, Silicon Graphics, Tandem Computers, and with startups JTS Corporation, Personic (AT Systems), and DigitalSquare.
René studied Computer Science at State University of New York, in Potsdam, NY and Finance at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
René spent his childhood years in France which encouraged a lifelong passion for food, wine, and soccer (football for the rest of the planet).
Teresa Forsyth, VP of Engineering Services
Teresa provides leadership for the Quality Assurance team, Data Reporting and Software Compliance. She participates in strategic planning, product design, software development, data reporting and field maintenance.
Teresa has over 25 years of experience leading teams to conceive, design, develop and test software.
Teresa has two Bachelor degrees from University of California at Santa Cruz, an MFA from University of California at Davis and has authored or ghost-written numerous articles and white papers.
In her spare time, Teresa enjoys being with her family, creative writing, visual and performing arts, game design/gaming, tennis, biking and exploring the latest technology and software advances.
Chris Marinacci directs software architecture and development for DDNi.
Chris has over 30 years of software development experience in the PC industry and is responsible for delivering new and innovative products for many diverse companies. Chris' projects include large scale volumes of products in excess of 25 million units. His career has afforded him the opportunity to manage a wide range of projects including consumer software, political campaign database applications, software development tools, and games.
Chris studied Computer and Information Sciences at University of California, Santa Cruz.
In his spare time he reads avidly, runs, and researches new software technology.
Julie Brown, Vice President of Strategic Alliances
Julie provides tactical leadership for the Business Development team and operational leadership for partner messaging and OEM/Partner alignment.
Julie is an accomplished business executive with more than 20 years of demonstrated success in cultural transformations and maximizing performance across multiple functional areas and regions. She has held senior leadership positions in the tech industry, including roles at Seagate and Sun Microsystems. She has focused much of her career on increasing organizational effectiveness while developing positive value-based business cultures.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and has completed an Executive Education Program in General Management and Leadership at Harvard Business School.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, running, sailing, and traveling.
